Kate Recycles Our Fave White McQueen Coat Dress for the Order of the Garter

Okay friends, can we just say that this white McQueen coat dress is one of our favourite pieces that Catherine has worn, ever? Look! We love it so much it has even inspired us to address her as requested! Anyhoo, we love it. Love. It. We hearted the sculpted coat dress when Kate wore it to the Trooping the Colour ceremony last year, and we love it now that she's paired it with a Reiss dress (the Peacock, last seen at the Epsom derby) and a pretty white Jane Corbett hat. And look how happy the Merry Wives of Windsor look, all laughing and matchy and wearing nude platform pumps (Kate's are by LK Bennett, natch). Kate's earrings are by Kiki McDonough and her clutch is also LK Bennett.

Do you love Kate's McQueen as much as we do?

Duchess of Cambridge Wears Erdem to Trooping of the Colour

Senior members of the British royal family (including on-the-mend Prince Philip) gathered in London today for Trooping of the Colour, the celebration of the Queen's official birthday. For the event the Duchess of Cambridge once again chose British-based Canadian designer Erdem.

Kate's light grey shift dress featured three-quarter sleeves and tone-on-tone floral embroidery. We want to like this look, we really do, but something about it just isn't working for us. We did quite enjoy the Jane Corbett hat. Earrings are the Links of London Effervescence Bubble Stiletto earrings. From what we can see Kate's bag is a neutral suede box clutch and we've yet to see a shot of her kicks.

What do you think of Kate's Trooping the Colour outfit?

Kate Middleton Wears Zara and Whistles to Art Room Event

While Prince William was watching the England-Sweden Euro match on the telly, Kate Middleton was attending a performance of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, put on by children from The Art Room, a charity of which the Duchess is now a patron. For the occasion Kate stepped out (she literally walked to the event in Kensington Gardens) in a blue dress from Zara and the Helena blazer from Whistles.

Kate accessorized with Links of London's Effervescence Bubble Stiletto earrings, a beaded collar-like statement necklace (we likey), Anya Hindmarch Maud clutch and Prada pumps.

Kate Middleton Recycles in Nottingham

For a trip to Nottingham with Prince William and the Queen, the Duchess of Cambridge selected the same blue boucle M by Missoni coat as she wore on an earlier outing with HM and Camilla. Kate swapped out her grey suede Rupert Sanderson Malone pumps for her L.K. Bennett "Art" pump, we prefer the former. For the Nottingham visit Kate also wore her re-fashioned sapphire and diamond "Diana" earrings, the quilted Jaeger "Kate" bag, and the Rachel Trevor-Morgran chapeau that she wore with that fabu McQueen coat dress last year. Underneath the Missoni? That blue Zara dressWhat do you think of Kate's recycled look?

Kate Middleton in Old Faves for Emily McCorquodale's Wedding

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the wedding of his cousin Emily McCorquodale, the daughter of Princess Diana's sister, to James Hutt. As usual Kate tried her best not to outshine the bride by selecting pieces from her wardrobe that have already be worn.

In this case Kate wore the Jenny Packham dress last seen at the polo match in L.A. underneath the light grey Katherine Hooker 'Buxton' coat she sported for the Order of the Garter ceremony last June. For the wedding K-Midd accessorized with the Whiteley hat seen at the Epsom Derby, her faux pearl drop earrings (confirmed as Heavenly Necklaces by Grazia), and the Hobbs' Somerton clutch, which was first spotted during the Canada tour. Kate was also wearing her L.K. Bennett nude pumps.

What do you think of Kate's recycled wedding look? Yes, the dress is a little longer than the coat but, overall, we think this was a pretty good eye at pairing together pieces that have all been worn separately and never together. Good job Katie!

Kate Middleton Sports McQueen and Whistles to Jubilee Events

So, in case you were wondering, Kate Middleton kinda loves Alexander McQueen. Like, Kate and McQueen are sitting in a tree k-i-s-s--well, you know the rest. The Duchess of Cambridge started out this weekend's Jubilee celebrations wearing pleated red McQueen and would go on to sport two other McQueen pieces in the days that followed.

At Jubilee services Kate looked prim and chic in a body skimming, lace-covered, nude toned McQueen sheath dress. We like lace, so we say...pretty. The sash (which matched Kate's oft used pink Prada clutch) was a little bridesmaid-y, but we're over it. Mostly. Kate's hat looked like a cross between a flower and butterfly wings and was made by Jane Taylor Millinery. There was netting and sparkle (we could never slag on sparkle) and also what looked like pearls to match Kate's pearl earrings.

Kate's shoes were her L.K. Bennett nude, platform Sledge pumps. Your thoughts on the Duchess' lace McQueen?

Earlier K-Midd once again chose McQueen--this time a dark blazer--to wear to the Jubilee concert.

Whistles dress

Kate paired the McQueen piece with Whistles' Multi Petal Print Dress, which she belted. Pictures of the event are pretty sketchy, but you get the gist of it. What did you think of Kate's Jubilee looks?

Kate Middleton for the Jubilee Win: Red, Pleated, McQueen

Hey you guys, there's a new Kate sighting to report! The Duchess of Cambridge was seen today at Diamond Jubilee festivities for the Queen alongside William and Harry (in uniform and looking quite dapper!) Now to the dress: bright red, pleats, McQueen. We likey. Yes, it's a little shades of pale-pink-Emilia-Wickstead, and maybe a little safe, but it's also ladylike, pleats are flattering on Catherine, and it's vibrant without threatening to overshadow the Queen (who is quite ravishing in white and silver Angela Kelly). So all in all? A win in our books.

The original McQueen--previously worn by...Kim Kardashian and Tulisa?--is shorter, sleeveless and belted. While Kate's version is much more covered up it's also more appropriate for the riverboat pageant.

Kate's hat is being reported as Sylvia Fletcher for Lock + Co and she's also sporting her go-to nude pumps and Kiki Mcdonough earrings. Kate's other accessories include a brooch featuring two dolphins (apparently a gift from the Royal Navy Submarine Service) and a scarf in the new Strathearn tartan (the Cambridges' title in Scotland.)

Kate's bow box clutch is similar to the McQueen above, although sans skull clasp. We're kinda disappointed by that, honestly. Skulls are pretty awesome.

The Queen and Camills colour coordinated. Huzzah!

Oh gawd, the Middletons are in the house.
Pippa and James -- le sigh.

What do you think of Kate's McQueen?

Kate Middleton Recycles Pink Emilia Wickstead for Garden Party

What does one wear to their first Buckingham Palace garden party? Especially when that person is the Duchess of Cambridge, married to the grandson of the monarch celebrating their Diamond Jubilee? Well, Kate Middleton has answered that question for us, folks.

K-Midd chose the pale pink and pleated Emilia Wickstead dress she wore less than two weeks ago at Windsor Castle. Kate changed out the accessories--gone were the pink satin Pradas (thank gawd, we say!) in favour of day friendly L.K. Bennett Sledge nude pumps and Natalie clutch. Kate also added a pretty Jane Corbett hat accented with raffia and lace and pearl drop earrings.

While we can't fault Kate on her attractive garden look--the pastel and ladylike design are right on trend--we do think recycling a dress so soon may not be the best choice. Thoughts?

Kate, Pippa and That Iconic Issa Wrap Dress

Pippa Middleton appeared at a wedding in Scotland this weekend wearing the same style Issa wrap dress that big sister Kate wore when announcing her engagement to Prince William. Even the shoes look pretty much the same. Still, we think this is a perfect example of why we'd take Kate over Pippa any day. Not only is the royal blue the classier choice, but Kate just kills in this dress while Pipster doesn't wow us.

What do you think? Kate or Pippa?

Kate Wears Pink Emilia Wickstead Dress for Jubilee Lunch

At the Queen's Jubilee lunch the British royal family welcomed brethren from dozens of countries at a chic lunch at Windsor Castle.  The Duchess of Cambridge looked pretty in pink in an Emilia Wickstead coat dress paired with the pink satin Prada square-toed heels and clutch that we've seen before. Kate completed her accessories with diamond earrings and a new leaf-shaped brooch. The Wickstead piece was made-to-measure and based on the designer's Alice design. Kate's version had longer sleeves and a longer hemline on the pleated skirt.

Here's the thing, the Duchess' dress is pretty, classic. We can imagine that at an event celebrating the Queen it would have been inappropriate for Kate to try to outshine the reigning monarch. Still, we can't say we love this outfit, especially the shoes, which we've seen before at the weddings of Peter Phillips and Charlie Savory. The pale colour scheme is also reminiscent of the Joseph dress Kate wore to the private viewing of her wedding exhibit at Buckingham Palace.

We've heard a lot of people praising Princess Charlene in her pale blue satin suit, but we really don't get all the love. Seriously, she looks like Michelle Phillips circa Knots Landing. And those over plumped fish lips? No Charlene, just no.

The Runaway Princess Bride did better for the Jubilee Monarchs Dinner later in the evening. We love this dress on her and the 20s waves in her hair. She looks so much softer and more youthful.

Princess Rania of Jordan, a perennial favourite on this blog, kind of confounds with her daytime outfit. We're definitely on the fence with this one. What do you think?

The Duchess Wears Libélula at Polo Match

Kate Middleton cheered on Prince William at a charity polo match dressed in a high-necked teal LibĂ©lula dress (called the "Rebecca"). The button-front shirtdress features a blue and brown pattern, piping and delicate buttons. We have to say, despite the modest silhouette, we like this silk look on Kate.

We're also fans of the sky high wedge sandals the Duchess was sporting. In case you're wondering these cork wedge wonders are the Stuart Weitzman Minx Espadrille. Kate also accessorized with her Kiki McDonough Grace topaz studs.

Also along for the fun? Man's best friend, puppy Lupo.

What do you think of Kate's polo look?

Kate Middleton Stuns in Teal Jenny Packham at Olympic Event

We love when we look at a Kate Middleton outfit and only one word comes to mind: love. This is what we thought when we spotted the Duchess of Cambridge's gown at the Greatest Team Rises Olympic Event. Kate looked gorgeous and glamorous and youthful in her customized Jenny Packham bridal gown (the "Aspen"). We love it all--from the bejewelled belt (we're thinking belts could become a real Kate trademark) to the flowing pleats--but especially the teal colour, the lace and the braids, three things we're pretty much obsessed with around here. Ob-sessed. Not to mention anything that sparkles.

And can we just talk about the back of this gown for a minute? Classy drama. Le sigh. K-Midd, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. And we need to see more of this, glamour and styles that are still very Kate. Can we also say we're pretty much dying over the cap sleeves?

Accessories included Kate's seen before Jimmy Choo Vamp Sandals (first debuted at the BAFTA dinner in L.A.), a teal clutch covered in lace, and a pair of dangly, sparkly earrings.

Kate Steps Out with the Queen, Wears Teal LK Bennett Suit

For attending a variety of Jubilee engagements with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a teal dress and blazer combo from LK Bennett that we're pretty much in love with. We love the nod to the super hot (and super flattering on Kate) peplum trend, the 40s-style noir-ish glam and the belted, nipped in waist. Not to mention we're really feeling the teal.

Kate's dress is the Davina dress and Jude jacket from Reiss, paired with the "Fairy Tale" hate from Lock + Co, black pumps and clutch, and Kiki McDonough amethyst earrings.

Kate Wears a Roland Mouret with Slit Up to There at Thirty Dinner

If there's one thing we hate it's sitting on the fence, but we've become increasingly familiar with the place due to Kate Middleton's recent outfits. We look at what the Duchess is wearing and find ourselves somewhere in the middle of Love It! Land and OMGNoes! Village.

Roland Mouret 2009 - Lombard Gown - Style.com

The white Roland Mouret dress that Kate Middleton wore to dinner at the Thirty Club in London (where Prince William gave a speech) has us sitting in that uncomfortable position. On the one hand we're kind of intrigued by the straight, clean lines, the creamy white colour, the hint of leg from the thigh high slit. We also love the choice of Jimmy Coo Vamp sandals and dark toes for a little youthful flair. And still, something is a little bit off. We don't lurve this look. Just for some added interest this dress (the "Lombard") was worn by Carla Bruni and supermodel Amber Valletta before this version of it made its way to Kate.

These photos are courtesy of The Daily Mail who report that Kate's sparkly clutch is also Jimmy Choo and her vintage-y sparkly dangle earrings are the Eva from Beaut.

What do you think of Kate Middleton's white Roland Mouret look?

Kate's Camping Chic

How cute does Kate look while camping near Anglesey with a boy scout troop and her puppy Lupo? The camping trip was part of the Duchess' volunteer work with the Scout Association.

Kate Recycles Blue Lace Erdem for Hannah Gillingham's Wedding

Kate, William and Pippa were all in attendance for the wedding of the Duchess' friend Hannah Gillingham in Suffolk. As per usual Kate went with a recycled frock, ostensibly to ensure attention would remain firmly on the bride. In this case K-Midd opted for the blue lace Erdem Cecile dress she wore during her Canada tour, accessorized with her blue suede pumps, Anya Hindmarch clutch, a great belt (we seriously heart the addition of this belt) and a cropped blue jacket (reportedly also a reworked Erdem, a similar jacket trimmed in a houndstooth print can be purchased at Matches).

Kate's fab studded belt is Alexander McQueen,
which was previously available for purchase on net-a-porter.com.

As for Pippa Middleton, when's the last time she hasn't looked a fool at a wedding? Taken apart the pieces of her outfit aren't offensive. Some are quite nice actually. There is a lot of spangly, sparkly, and gold, but who would expect anything less from Look at Me! Pippa. Still, we're not loving the whole ensemble. Also, just us or do the sisters seem to be sporting very similar footwear?

The beaming bride and her new husband.
Hannah's dress, however, is a little too Kate for our taste.

Kate Wears Grey Amanda Wakeley at Imperial War Museum

We're giving two thumbs up to today's second outfit, which Kate wore to an event at the Imperial War Museum. The Amanda Wakeley charcoal grey dress ("Gunmetal" in Wakeley parlance) is simple and obviously a big fave of the Duchess. Kate wore the Gunmetal Sculpted Felt Seamed Dress under a Zara blazer in November to the Princes' Charities Forum and sported the same dress in Oatmeal for her visit to Royal Marsden hospital. This is our favourite styling of the Wakeley piece thanks to the fab accessories that Kate has chosen.

McQueen gold chain belt, sky-high black Prada pumps, Anya Hindmarch's Maud clutch and the same Temple of Heaven Girandole gold chandelier earrings that Kate wore with her green DvF in L.A. The belt, earrings and shoes really do it for us. You slay us Kate and we love it.

Kate Middleton Sports a Navy Tweed Rebecca Taylor Suit

Kate Middleton chose a navy blue tweed skirt suit for her appearance at an event honouring the Scott-Amundsen Centenary Race to the South Pole. It is from Rebecca Taylor's Sparkle Tweed Pre-Fall 2012-2012 collection. Kate accessorized with her standard Anya Hindmarch Marano clutch and blue suede pumps, and added a jewelled British Legion poppy brooch and pearl drop earrings.

We like this Rebecca Taylor suit in principle. The frayed edges, pretty flower appliques along the neckline and grosgrain ribbon detailing, but somehow on Kate's frame this outfit looks more old than classically whimsical. Are we alone here?

Update: You can pre-order on the Rebecca Taylor website.

Loving Kate Middleton in Beaded Matthew Williamson

We're dying over Kate's grey beaded Matthew Williamson dress, which she wore to the premiere of African Cats to benefit the Tusk Trust. Unique, stylish and appropriate for the event this is a big win in our eyes. Kate's grey pumps and bag appear to be similar to those shown on the Emmy Shoes website and, while they're not our fave with this great dress, they'll do.

We're loving the peplum detailing--a new favourite of Kate's and very flattering on her frame--and the exposed back zipper.

And how fab are these Kiki McDonough "Classic" earrings. Peridot, blue topaz and diamonds they are the perfect match for the Matthew Williamson dress.

The Duchess Wears Orla Kiely at Dulwich Gallery

Kate was at the Dulwich Gallery for a Children and the Arts event along with Prince Charles, who is patron at the charity. Can we just say that we're really feeling the Duchess' grey belted Orla Kiely dress with floral applique? The pretty pleated dress from Kiely's Fall 2011 collection really works for Kate's frame.

Kate accessorized with Episode Angel platform pumps, Links of London Hope Egg earrings, Tiffany Diamonds by the Yard bracelet and a black clutch.

Kate Wears Blue Reiss Dress for First Speaking Engagement

The Duchess of Cambridge's first official speaking engagement occurred at the opening of Treehouse, a part of the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, this morning. For the event Kate chose the belted blue Reiss "Trina" dress, a style previously seen on her mom Carole, at Ascot 2010.

Kate accessorized with her diamond and sapphire earrings, cross necklace, Tiffany sapphire bracelet and Episode "Angel" pumps. The Duchess also sported a plastic beaded EACH fundraising bracelet.

We love that Kate looked smiley and comfortable, and that she's committed to such a great cause, but we're not feeling the fit of this double breasted Reiss frock. K-Midd seems to be swimming in it. Do you agree?
