Kate Middleton Recycles Pink Emilia Wickstead for Garden Party

What does one wear to their first Buckingham Palace garden party? Especially when that person is the Duchess of Cambridge, married to the grandson of the monarch celebrating their Diamond Jubilee? Well, Kate Middleton has answered that question for us, folks.

K-Midd chose the pale pink and pleated Emilia Wickstead dress she wore less than two weeks ago at Windsor Castle. Kate changed out the accessories--gone were the pink satin Pradas (thank gawd, we say!) in favour of day friendly L.K. Bennett Sledge nude pumps and Natalie clutch. Kate also added a pretty Jane Corbett hat accented with raffia and lace and pearl drop earrings.

While we can't fault Kate on her attractive garden look--the pastel and ladylike design are right on trend--we do think recycling a dress so soon may not be the best choice. Thoughts?

Kate, Pippa and That Iconic Issa Wrap Dress

Pippa Middleton appeared at a wedding in Scotland this weekend wearing the same style Issa wrap dress that big sister Kate wore when announcing her engagement to Prince William. Even the shoes look pretty much the same. Still, we think this is a perfect example of why we'd take Kate over Pippa any day. Not only is the royal blue the classier choice, but Kate just kills in this dress while Pipster doesn't wow us.

What do you think? Kate or Pippa?

Kate Wears Pink Emilia Wickstead Dress for Jubilee Lunch

At the Queen's Jubilee lunch the British royal family welcomed brethren from dozens of countries at a chic lunch at Windsor Castle.  The Duchess of Cambridge looked pretty in pink in an Emilia Wickstead coat dress paired with the pink satin Prada square-toed heels and clutch that we've seen before. Kate completed her accessories with diamond earrings and a new leaf-shaped brooch. The Wickstead piece was made-to-measure and based on the designer's Alice design. Kate's version had longer sleeves and a longer hemline on the pleated skirt.

Here's the thing, the Duchess' dress is pretty, classic. We can imagine that at an event celebrating the Queen it would have been inappropriate for Kate to try to outshine the reigning monarch. Still, we can't say we love this outfit, especially the shoes, which we've seen before at the weddings of Peter Phillips and Charlie Savory. The pale colour scheme is also reminiscent of the Joseph dress Kate wore to the private viewing of her wedding exhibit at Buckingham Palace.

We've heard a lot of people praising Princess Charlene in her pale blue satin suit, but we really don't get all the love. Seriously, she looks like Michelle Phillips circa Knots Landing. And those over plumped fish lips? No Charlene, just no.

The Runaway Princess Bride did better for the Jubilee Monarchs Dinner later in the evening. We love this dress on her and the 20s waves in her hair. She looks so much softer and more youthful.

Princess Rania of Jordan, a perennial favourite on this blog, kind of confounds with her daytime outfit. We're definitely on the fence with this one. What do you think?

The Duchess Wears Libélula at Polo Match

Kate Middleton cheered on Prince William at a charity polo match dressed in a high-necked teal Libélula dress (called the "Rebecca"). The button-front shirtdress features a blue and brown pattern, piping and delicate buttons. We have to say, despite the modest silhouette, we like this silk look on Kate.

We're also fans of the sky high wedge sandals the Duchess was sporting. In case you're wondering these cork wedge wonders are the Stuart Weitzman Minx Espadrille. Kate also accessorized with her Kiki McDonough Grace topaz studs.

Also along for the fun? Man's best friend, puppy Lupo.

What do you think of Kate's polo look?

Kate Middleton Stuns in Teal Jenny Packham at Olympic Event

We love when we look at a Kate Middleton outfit and only one word comes to mind: love. This is what we thought when we spotted the Duchess of Cambridge's gown at the Greatest Team Rises Olympic Event. Kate looked gorgeous and glamorous and youthful in her customized Jenny Packham bridal gown (the "Aspen"). We love it all--from the bejewelled belt (we're thinking belts could become a real Kate trademark) to the flowing pleats--but especially the teal colour, the lace and the braids, three things we're pretty much obsessed with around here. Ob-sessed. Not to mention anything that sparkles.

And can we just talk about the back of this gown for a minute? Classy drama. Le sigh. K-Midd, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. And we need to see more of this, glamour and styles that are still very Kate. Can we also say we're pretty much dying over the cap sleeves?

Accessories included Kate's seen before Jimmy Choo Vamp Sandals (first debuted at the BAFTA dinner in L.A.), a teal clutch covered in lace, and a pair of dangly, sparkly earrings.

Kate Steps Out with the Queen, Wears Teal LK Bennett Suit

For attending a variety of Jubilee engagements with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the Duchess of Cambridge chose a teal dress and blazer combo from LK Bennett that we're pretty much in love with. We love the nod to the super hot (and super flattering on Kate) peplum trend, the 40s-style noir-ish glam and the belted, nipped in waist. Not to mention we're really feeling the teal.

Kate's dress is the Davina dress and Jude jacket from Reiss, paired with the "Fairy Tale" hate from Lock + Co, black pumps and clutch, and Kiki McDonough amethyst earrings.

Kate Wears a Roland Mouret with Slit Up to There at Thirty Dinner

If there's one thing we hate it's sitting on the fence, but we've become increasingly familiar with the place due to Kate Middleton's recent outfits. We look at what the Duchess is wearing and find ourselves somewhere in the middle of Love It! Land and OMGNoes! Village.

Roland Mouret 2009 - Lombard Gown - Style.com

The white Roland Mouret dress that Kate Middleton wore to dinner at the Thirty Club in London (where Prince William gave a speech) has us sitting in that uncomfortable position. On the one hand we're kind of intrigued by the straight, clean lines, the creamy white colour, the hint of leg from the thigh high slit. We also love the choice of Jimmy Coo Vamp sandals and dark toes for a little youthful flair. And still, something is a little bit off. We don't lurve this look. Just for some added interest this dress (the "Lombard") was worn by Carla Bruni and supermodel Amber Valletta before this version of it made its way to Kate.

These photos are courtesy of The Daily Mail who report that Kate's sparkly clutch is also Jimmy Choo and her vintage-y sparkly dangle earrings are the Eva from Beaut.

What do you think of Kate Middleton's white Roland Mouret look?

Kate's Camping Chic

How cute does Kate look while camping near Anglesey with a boy scout troop and her puppy Lupo? The camping trip was part of the Duchess' volunteer work with the Scout Association.
