Kate Middleton Goes Casual in Purple Cashmere and Skinny Jeans

William and Kate were seen strolling along hand-in-hand in Scotland
wearing matching purple sweaters and button-downs.

No confirmation, but Kate's purple sweater certainly looks like Ralph Lauren's Blue Label cable knit cashmere sweater. The Duchess of Cambridge's skinny jeans are J. Brand and her running shoes are from Adidas.

The jumper looks similar to--if not the same as--one that Kate sported in 2007.

Later on Kate was seen nipping out for some groceries at Tesco wearing the same sweater and skinny jeans in a lighter wash. Catherine also sported the checked Aquascutum scarf that she wore in Canada and flats that look similar to the ones we've seen at the grocery store before, except these ones don't appear to be the same type of mock croc, but rather leather.

Our vote is for Outfit #2.

Update: Paige Denim has confirmed that Kate's light wash skinny jeans are their Skyline Ankle Peg style in Beachwood (available on Revolve for $158).

Old School Stylings: Kate Middleton at Charlie Savory's Wedding

Can we say hot mess? Not sure that any of the individual pieces here are offensive (except for maybe the hair flowers), but Kate Middleton looked kind of horrible at the wedding of Charlie Savory in 2010.

KMidd sported the same pink double-breasted jacket she wore to Peter Phillip's wedding in 2008 (with the same pink satin heels) paired with the lace dress (likely Collette Dinnigan) she wore to Laura Parker-Bowles' wedding. Kate accessorized with what looks like the Asprey button pendant necklace and a beaded clutch.

We're thinking that what really throws this whole outfit off is happening from the neck up. Whatever it is, it's not working. No. Just...no.

Kate was seen wearing the same dress at the Young Stalin
book party that she attended with Pippa in 2007.
And she's wearing a watch, something we haven't seen in awhile.

Update: Kate's gold lace dress has been confirmed as Collette Dinnigan by the designer.

Drive Like a Duchess: You Can Buy Kate Middleton's Car

Forget stamps and coins, this is the kind of Kate Middleton memborbilia we're talking about. The Duchess of Cambridge's old car--a dark blue Volkgwagen Golf bought in Edinburgh in 2001 when she was at St. Andrew's--is now up for auction on eBay. Who knows how far the price will spiral out of control, but if you want your Kate memento on four wheels you'll likely have to act fast.

In 2007 the now-Duchess was papped after getting a parking ticket on the same car. It's always funny to us to see old photos of KMidd, what with the different hair, the adorable full face and short skirts the likes of which we'll probably never see again.

Old School Stylings: Kate Middleton at the Order of the Garter, 2008

Looking back one can see 2008 as the year that William really announced to the world his attentions in regards to Kate Middleton. The year after their 2007 split the couple were going strong and publicly declaring their on-again romance.

Not only was Catherine present when William received his RAF wings, but she also attended the Order of the Garter ceremony in 2008 at Windsor Castle during which Wills was inducted as a knight. Instead of flying solo, Kate arrived with Prince Harry and had a place among the senior royals including Camilla and Sophie, Duchess of Wessex.

For this highly important, highly visible official royal function Kate chose a slim and appropriate black skirt suit with subtle white polka dots. Miss. Middleton's chic accessories included a saucer-shaped hat bedecked with feathers, a black clutch, multi-strand pearl bracelet and what look to be her classic black Prada pumps.

During the ceremony Kate was spotted guffawing with Harry, who always seems to be able to make his future sister-in-law smile. We imagine that the ridiculous hat William was made to wear, floppy and replete with ostrich feathers, only hastened the jokes.

And this isn't the first time the polka dot suit made an appearance, either. Kate was papped sporting it at an event in Dublin in 2007 during her infamous break up with the Prince.

We're not loving these open-toed mumsy shoes.
But notice the hose. It appears that Kate's penchant
for nude tights did pre-date her royal title.
