So, we have to tell you that this new directive to call Kate Middleton by her new name--Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge--is proving a tough one for us. We'll likely be going back and forth for some time to come. Anyway, Kate, Catherine, whatever you'd like to call Prince William's lovely bride, showed up at the Epsom Derby this weekend to root for the Queen's horse (the horse came in a respectable third.)
Yeah, yeah, we know, let's get to the important stuff. What was Kate wearing? The Duchess, clearly still in blushing bride mode, turned up at the races in white--a floaty Reiss dress topped by a jacket with nehru collar and a brown fascinator (we're not always the biggest fans of headgear in general, but we like this one). Kate's jacket is the Nessie tweed blazer by Joseph (seen above), available for £460.00 at Selfridges.
Updated: It has now been confirmed that
Kate's Epsom dress is the same one we
initially reported, Reiss' Peacock.
KMidd showed her L.K. Bennett love again with neutral accessories from the brand -- a pair of nude platform pumps (the L.K. Bennett Sledge2 Courts, £175.00) and a straw box clutch (L.K.'s Natalie Clutch, £140.00). Kate also sported the Kiki Mcdonough citrine drop earrings we've seen before.
Kate's Epsom hat is from Whiteley.
We also liked seeing the Duchess' hair up.
A refreshing change.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie wore
polka dots and floral.
And Sophie of Wessex had a pretty hat.

Hats and fascinators are a style that needs to be exported to America.
