Every time someone looks at Kate's face they were reminded of her family and their newly designed, acorn-bedecked crest.

The Royals Are on the Move - For Zara's Wedding!

It's not all about William and Kate this year when it comes to British royal weddings. Saturday another of the Queen's grandbabies will be saying "I do." Calm down girls, it's obvs not Harry, but rather Zara Phillips, the blonde daughter of Princess Anne. Officially Zara isn't a member of the royal family, but she is 12th in line for the throne, so that's something we guess. Zara and her fiancé seem remarkably down-to-earth, which is nice.

The royals, including QEII as well as Will and Kate, will be heading to Canongate Kirk in Scotland to celebrate Zara's marriage to rugby star Mike Tindall. The wedding is expected to be très private--no embarrassing Hello! spread à la Peter Phillips for his sister--and the Queen has apparently forbidden Zara from selling photos.

Police are also warning the curious that it's best to stay away as there will be little opportunity to glimpse a royal. We're sure we will get a few snaps at least, which we're looking forward to. We're not expecting too much from Kate as we're quite sure the Duchess will do everything possible to ensure she doesn't overshadow the bride.

Kate Middleton's Wedding Shoes, Dress, Etc. Go on Display at Buckingham Palace

If you, like us, have always wondered what Kate Middleton's Alexander McQueen lace wedding shoes really looked like, now you have your answer. Sensible, closed toe, prettier for the lace. Very Kate, we'd say. If you're in London you can head to Buckingham Palace where Kate's wedding ware is going on display.

The top two layers of the wedding cake on display are apparently replicas as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have saved them, per tradition, to serve at their first child's christening. I guess that's because, unlike us who save for our first anniversary, these royals usually have their kids before then.

Have We Seen Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress Before?

When Kate Middleton stepped out of the car infront of Westminster Abbey few could deny she looked beautiful and that her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown was a triumph of delicacy and skilled workmanship. Still, some--like us--were kind of disappointed. We felt like we'd seen this dress before. We would have liked to see something a bit more unique.

The first inspiration was inevitably Grace Kelly,

that icon of brides and commoners everywhere.

But Marie Claire UK has unconvered an even closer match to Kate's McQueen, the wedding dress worn by Isabella Orsini, the Italian goddaughter of Silvio Berlusconi, when she wed Prince Edouard de Ligne, a Belgian, a full two years before Kate and William said their "I dos." See what we mean? There's no way Kate Middleton should have worn a dress we've seen before and so often. And check out Isabella's tiara--a cool something blue, no?

Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress: Part Deux

A girl needs to be comfortable for dancing and Kate Middleton is no different. Departing Clarence House for Buckingham Palace and her wedding reception, the newly minted Duchess of Cambridge chose to chuck her McQueen wedding gown for another white dress designed by Sarah Burton. Kate's second dress is a strapless, floor-length gazar number with a jewelled waistband that Kate accessorized with a cute and cropped angora sweater. Camilla, also seen here, switched it up opting for another Anna Valentine creation.

Pippa Middleton also left her white McQueen behind...

For the evening Pippa opted for a jewel-coloured Temperley London gown.

We're not 100% sure we're on the Pippa train, although we can say the girl certainly is tanned.

Wonder what polish shades Kate Middleton was sporting on her wedding day? Well, wonder no more. We've got the scoop for you direct from the horse's mouth. Not that we're calling the Duchess a horse...or that this news came from her mouth. Rather the one spilling the beans is Kate's manicurist Marina Sandoval from the Jo Hansford Salon. The manicure was apparently a pre-wedding pampering gift from Camilla.

Probably to stop a barganista like Kate from doing her own nails.

Or enlisting Pippa's services.

Marina reveals that Kate's wedding nails are actually a mix of two colours: Essie Allure and Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine Nail Enamel in Rose Lounge.

Through the years it's becoming increasingly obvious that while Kate has a serious romance going with her eyeliner she really prefers nude when it comes to nails and lips. We can't remember if we've ever seen the Duchess with a bright lippy or mani. Forward us a pic if you find one!

Our fave option for semi-sheer nude nails?

OPI's Bubble Bath, a perfect option for classic, neat nails.

But if you want a polish on the white side or totally

clear, then this one isn't for you.

Kate Middleton Has Picked a Wedding Dress Designer

Unfortunately for us she's remaining mum on the designer and style of the dress. A palace spokesperson told People that "it's Miss. Middleton's intention to keep the dress a secret for her bridegroom on their wedding day, as is every bride's perogative." Fair enough.

Rumors have continued to swirl that the lucky designer is none other than Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen, a choice we're certainly championing.

Others have mentioned Bruce Oldfield, a favorite of Princess Diana. The designer had no comment other than: "Kate has such a gorgeous figure that she would look stunning in anything."

William & Kate Marrying at Westminster Abbey & Other Wedding Details

The rumors are true! Prince William and Kate Middleton
are getting married at Westminster Abbey.

The wedding will be held on April 29, 2011 (a Friday--the royal couple wanted to give everyone an extra day off!) at 11:00 am. Kate and William will be married by the  Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams. Also, the service will be conducted by the Dean of Westminster, Very Rev. John Hall, and the Bishop of London Richard Chartres will give an address.

We've already circled our calendars and set our alarm clocks!

No Horse Drawn Carriage for This Princess

Palace officials are reporting that, unlike Princess Diana and other royal brides, Kate Middleton will not be arriving to her wedding at Westminster Abbey in a horse-drawn carriage.

Instead, as a nod to the austere times, Kate will be riding in a car as a way to cut costs. Where's a Fairy Godmother when you need one? Bibbity Bobbity Boo!
